Water pollution due to synthetic Crystal Violet dye waste is harmful to aquatic ecosystems. This study aims to evaluate the ability of corn husk activated carbon (Zea mays L.) to adsorb Crystal Violet. Activated carbon was prepared through carbonization and chemical activation using 1 M NaOH. Adsorption tests were carried out with varying contact times, then analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results showed that the activated carbon preparation produced a yield of 67.49%. The optimum adsorption condition was achieved at 20 minutes with an absorption efficiency (% Removal) of 88.49% and an adsorption capacity of 8.84 mg/g, higher than that of non-activated charcoal (7.42 mg/g). The adsorption kinetics study fulfilled the Pseudo-Second Order model with coefficients of determination R^2 of 0.982 (activated) and 0.998 (non-activated), respectively. This confirms that the adsorption rate is controlled by a chemisorption mechanism through electrostatic interactions between the surf
