The increasing demand for resource efficiency in Indonesia drives the exploration of sustainable alternative resources from agricultural waste. One underexploited potential is cocoa pod husk waste, which can be processed into biochar as a soil amendment and an ecological resource. This research aimed to analyze the availability of cocoa pod husk waste as biochar feedstock, evaluate the effectiveness of biochar in improving soil pH, and assess the economic and environmental feasibility using the Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) approach in Sungai Langka Village, Pesawaran Regency. The study employed mixed methods with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Primary data were collected through field observation and interviews with farmers, while secondary data were obtained from literature studies and relevant documents. The economic feasibility was assessed using three main indicators: Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR). The analysis revealed that cocoa pod husk availability is highly adequate, with an annual generation of 4,545 tons. Furthermore, the biochar product was scientifically proven effective in neutralizing soil pH from 5,8 to a neutral pH 7,3. The Cost-Benefit Analysis concluded that the biochar production investment is highly viable for implementation. The analysis indicators yielded a Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp188.925.276 an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 10,30%, and a Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) of 1,23.
