This research aims to develop and validate a 12-channel portable electrocardiogram (ECG) simulator as a testing device based on the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller and MCP4725 digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This simulator is designed to generate normal ECG signals (60 BPM) and bradycardia arrhythmia (40 BPM) using the PhysioNet database. System performance validation was carried out through three stages of testing by analyzing five quantitative parameters, including Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), Mean Mean Square Error (MSE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Distortion (THD), and Peak Error. Test results showed good performance on several key parameters, with an average SNR exceeding 20 dB according to the ISO/TS 81060-5:2020 standard, low RMSE values, and THD (1.19% to 2.93%) well below the IEC 60601-2-47:2012 limit. However, the MSE parameter revealed significant limitations, with nearly all test results exceeding the ISO standard threshold (0.051 mV), indicating substantial amplitude deviations between the reference signal and the simulator output. These findings indicate that while the simulator successfully replicates the morphological characteristics and signal stability, further optimization is required in terms of amplitude accuracy to achieve compliance as a standard test tool in research and development applications for EKG devices.
