ESTIMASI NILAI LOS VELOCITY MENGGUNAKAN CITRA ALOS PALSAR I UNTUK PEMANTAUAN DEFORMASI DI PROVINSI BENGKULU

Tectonic earthquakes struck Bengkulu province on June 4, 2000, and September 12, 2007, with magnitudes of 8.0 Mw and 8.5 Mw, respectively. These earthquakes caused significant damage and displacements along segments of the Sumatran fault, underscoring the necessity of deformation monitoring to mitigate earthquake risks. Active remote sensing is employed for this purpose. The research aims to determine the Line of Sight (LOS) Velocity values from 2008 to 2010 in Bengkulu province and analyze deformation monitoring based on the obtained LOS Velocity. This deformation monitoring research utilizes the Interferometry Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) method with the Small Baseline Area Subset (SBAS) approach. The SBAS InSAR method enables the calculation of ground deformation with precision ranging from millimeters to centimeters and covers a wide spatial area. The results show estimated LOS Velocity ranging from -5.18 to 8.35 mm/year for 2008-2009, and from -16.03 to 35.22 mm/year for 2009-2010. Deformation monitoring during 2008-2009 indicates horizontal deformation moving towards and away from the radar system at approximately 8.35 mm/year and -5.18 mm/year, respectively. From 2009 to 2010, horizontal deformation moves away from the radar system at approximately -16.03 mm/year and approaches it at approximately 35.22 mm/year, relative to the satellite's Line of Sight.
