Rancang Bangun Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya Untuk Daya pada Smart Watering System for Plantation

Plantation is an activity to grow crops on land with the aim of selling or using the crops. Plantations can grow various types of plants, both plants that can be processed into food and beverages and plants that can be processed into other materials. Examples of plants that can be processed into other materials are oil palm, natural rubber, and others. The plants that can be processed into food or drinks include vegetables, coffee, tea, rice, cassava, and spices. The problems that exist will be detrimental to the farmers themselves. Therefore, the solution to the problems that occur in farmer's plantations is to create a smart watering system that can water the plants according to the time or according to the soil conditions that need water. Therefore, we created SWAP II as a solution to existing problems. SWAP II uses power from an off-grid solar power plant. This solar power plant uses polycrystalline panels that function to absorb solar energy. Second, there is the SCC (Solar Charge Controller) which is used to charge the battery and regulate power from the battery to the load to keep the battery from overcharging. Then there is a 500 watt psw inverter which is useful for converting DC current into AC current. After that there is a VRLA battery which is used as a storage of the power that has been generated. The power that has been stored in this battery will be used to turn on the pump to water the plants, and it is also useful to turn on the existing sensors which will be input to the microcontroller then give the command to turn on the pump.
