ANALISIS PENGARUH VARIASI JUMLAH SPIDER TERHADAP RESPON TEGANGAN DAN DISPLACEMENT PADA DESAIN CRANK ARM SEPEDA MENGGUNAKAN FEA

This paper aims to analyze the convergence by varying the linear and quadratic tetrahedral, performing loading modeling to get the lowest error value, and analyzing the effect of the number spiders on the stress and displacement. The analysis was carried out by varying the type of elements and modeling the loading on the simulation process using Finite element analysis (FEA). The simulation results show that the convergence obtained at approximate size of 0.002 with the best type of quadratic tetrahedral . The load modeling with the lowest error value is the pressure with the displacement 36.8% and the stress error value is 51.7%. The stress and displacement obtained for each crank arm design are the best and the most optimal is the crank arm three spider. The stress values obtained are 3.242E+07 Pa at an angle of 270° and 1.193E+08 Pa at an angle of 0°. The design has a high safety factor value in all loading conditions, namely, 12.1 for 270° and 3.3 for 0°.
